Circle of influence

In our increasingly complex world, we often encounter a multitude of challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed. Even though some of these challenges are clearly beyond our control, we can not seem to stop worrying about them and we all understand that worrying about things we cannot control is not the best way to use our energy. Accepting the idea that there are things that we simply cannot control, and to let go of these things, will help to reduce anxiety and stress and will help to focus on things we can actually change.

Circle of control
Includes things that we have direct control over such as our thoughts, behaviors and actions.
Circle of influence
you have some influence but no full control. This might include relationships, work projects or community activities.
Circle of concern
things that are outside our control like weather, economy or global events. It's natural to have concerns on these things, dwelling on them can be counterproductive as we can not change it.

Without a doubt, there is a link between the health of the planet and the health of the population. Certain behavioral changes have the power to influence both sustainable development and collective well-being.

Here are some tips on how you can prioritize your personal well-being while also helping take care of the planet:

-
Adopting green transport alternatives. Walk, jog or cycle instead of driving will cut emissions while relieving stress and boosting your cardiovascular health.
-
Grow your own food, include more plant-based options in your diet and eat seasonal.
-
Use energy efficient appliances. This reduces energy consumption and can lower your utility bills.
-
Volunteer and participate in a local environmental clean-up event.
-
Keep healthy & sustainable snacks at your desk like nuts and fruits, to maintain your energy levels throughout the day.
